Kedarkantha Trek trek cost — operator pricing comparison

Complete Cost Breakdown

How much does Kedarkantha Trek cost?

Package Price Range

₹6,000 – ₹12,000

Price depends on group size, inclusions (transport/medical), and operator experience.

Before you book

Key point

Kedarkantha has the widest operator price range of any popular Himalayan trek — ₹6,000 to ₹12,000 for the same route. The difference is almost entirely group size. A 25-person batch at ₹6,500 and a 10-person batch at ₹11,000 are fundamentally different experiences on summit day.

Caution

Purola has the last ATM before a 5-day cash blackout. Carry minimum ₹5,000 — more than any other trek on MountRoutes — because Sankri gear rental, tips, permit, and guesthouse all require cash and none of it is in the base package.

Tip

The Govind Wildlife Sanctuary permit (₹400) is usually included in packages but confirm explicitly. Some budget operators exclude it and you pay at the Sankri checkpost — not a problem, just unexpected.

What Drives Price?

Group size is the biggest variable. Operators capping at 10 trekkers charge more than those running 20–25 person batches. Dehradun to Sankri transport adds ₹700–1,000. IMF-certified guide commands a premium.
