The Mission

Why build a methodology?

Right now, people book treks based on vague labels like "moderate" or "difficult", heavily influenced by social media PR that makes high altitude look effortless. But a 25-year-old marathon runner and a 45-year-old desk worker have completely different definitions of moderate. When you are at 14,000ft and the air is thin, generic labels fail. That gap between expectation and reality turns what should be an awe-inspiring experience into a desperate struggle for survival.

We built MountRoutes to stop the guessing. Instead of generic advice, our engine looks at your actual fitness and compares it directly to the exact physical demands of the mountain. We don't want you operating at 100% of your capacity just to reach the summit. Because when the weather turns or a partner needs help, 100% means you have zero reserves left. We calculate your Safety Margin. When you have reserve strength, you aren't just surviving the climb—you are actually enjoying it. You can take in the landscape, build a connection with the wild, and return home as a fulfilled mountaineer.

This methodology explains the science behind our engine—showing you exactly what it takes to close the gap between where you are today, and where the summit is.
