Best Time — Har Ki Dun Trek

Seasonal Overview

Har Ki Dun is a versatile high-altitude valley. Known as 'The Valley of Gods', it offers three distinct versions: the 'White Winter' (Dec-March), the 'Flower-Laden Summer' (April-June), and the 'Crystal Autumn' (Sept-Nov). Unlike many higher passes, it remains accessible in peak winter for snow enthusiasts.

Important Tips

The valley is home to rare Himalayan fauna like the Monal, Musk Deer, and Snow Leopard (on higher ridges). The ancient architecture of Osla is a national heritage site. **Road Connectivity Warning:** While a road has been cut toward Osla, it is highly unstable and remains closed most of the year due to debris and landslides. Do not plan your itinerary assuming vehicle access beyond Sankri.
