DAY 1Scenic Drive
Today's Mission
Depart Haridwar by 5 AM. Scenic drive through the Alaknanda valley passing all major Prayags. Joshimath (1,875 m) serves as the acclimatization stop — crucial for pilgrims coming from the plains. Evening visit to Narsingh Temple in Joshimath town.
Guide's Note • Preparation
The journey begins with a long scenic drive. Arriving fresh at Joshimath ensures you acclimatize comfortably before tomorrow's ascent.

DAY 2 TEMPLE DARSHAN
Today's Mission
Drive 45 km from Joshimath to Badrinath (3,133 m). Badrinath is fully road-accessible — no trek required. Arrive by noon, freshen up, and attend afternoon darshan. Ritual dip in Tapt Kund hot spring mandatory before entering the temple. Evening Aarti at 8:30 PM is the spiritual highlight.
Guide's Note • Travel Tip
Once you leave Joshimath, the road follows the Alaknanda River for much of the journey. A window seat is worth keeping. If you arrive early, consider attending the evening darshan.
Opening Darshan
4:30 AM – 6:00 AM
DAY 3 TEMPLE DARSHAN
Today's Mission
Wake up at 4 AM for Mahabhishek darshan (pre-booking required). After darshan, visit Brahma Kapal ghat for Pitru Tarpan (ancestor rites). Mana village is 3 km from the temple — the last inhabited village before the Tibet border. See Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and the Saraswati river origin. Vasudhara Falls is 5 km from Mana — optional walk for fit pilgrims.
Guide's Note • Stay Another Hour
Walk beyond the market towards the Saraswati River bridge. Many visitors turn back too early and miss the most dramatic views.
Opening Darshan
4:30 AM – 6:00 AM
DAY 4 TEMPLE DARSHAN
Today's Mission
Depart by 5 AM for a long return drive. Devprayag — the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi forming the Ganga — is worth a 20-minute stop. Attend Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, Haridwar in the evening. Many operators end the tour here.
Guide's Note • A Quiet Return
Many travellers leave immediately after breakfast. If your schedule allows, spend a final few quiet minutes near the Alaknanda before beginning the drive home.
