Today's Objective
Wake up before dawn for the short, 2km push to Pankhu Top. As you crest the ridge, the massive alpine meadow opens up, offering an explosive 180-degree panorama of the Greater Himalayas. Spend hours exploring the bugyal and taking photographs before descending back to Birmuwa Kothi for lunch.

Board your vehicles early in the morning for the long drive back through the Kumaon hills to Kathgodam railway station. You can expect to reach Kathgodam by late afternoon, in time for overnight trains to Delhi.
Key Landmarks
The mountain valley topography transitions back into the lower foothill river plains.
While not a direct extension, the trek lies in the same district as the famous Pindari Glacier. Fit trekkers often combine both treks over a two-week Kumaon expedition.
