About Chitkul Valley Trail
The Chitkul Valley Trail explores the upper Baspa Valley above Chitkul — the last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibet border road — through lush meadows, alpine lakes, and exceptional Kinnauri architecture. This 3-day easy-moderate trail reaches the Baspa glacial source at 12,500 ft, offering sweeping views of the Kinnaur Kailash range and the bright blue Baspa River. One of Himachal Pradesh's most scenically complete short treks — combines frontier wilderness, cultural depth, and accessible high-altitude terrain.
