Best Time for Chipla Kedar Trek — Month-by-Month Guide

May-June and September-October. The Kumaon forests are gorgeous in May and October. Views of surrounding peaks are cleanest and sharpest during these stable windows.

Seasonal Verdict

When should you go?

Chipla Kedar is a pristine, culturally significant alpine meadow trek (11,000 ft) in the Kumaon Himalayas. It is a fantastic summer and autumn trek offering panoramic views of the Panchachuli peaks. The monsoon brings leeches and obscured views, while winter brings heavy snow that blocks the higher bugyals.
