Season & Weather Guide
May–June for rhododendron forest in bloom; September–October for crystal-clear post-monsoon Kedarnath reflection in the lake. Avoid December–March when the Chopta road is snow-blocked.
Seasonal Verdict
Bisuri Tal is a remote, high-altitude alpine lake trek in the Mandakini valley of Garhwal. It offers excellent pre-monsoon (May-June) snow trekking and post-monsoon (Sept-Oct) crystal-clear views. The monsoon brings severe rain and leeches to the lower forests, and winter completely buries the route.
Season at a Glance
Editor's Notes
April–May: the trail through rhododendron forest is in full bloom — a tunnel of pink, red, and magenta below, secret lake above. September–October: no flowers but the post-monsoon clarity makes the Kedarnath reflection the sharpest possible. Choose based on what you are chasing: forest spectacle or the perfect reflection photograph.
