Two Windows, Different Choices
Key point
April–May: the trail through rhododendron forest is in full bloom — a tunnel of pink, red, and magenta below, secret lake above. September–October: no flowers but the post-monsoon clarity makes the Kedarnath reflection the sharpest possible. Choose based on what you are chasing: forest spectacle or the perfect reflection photograph.

Important Tips
For the definitive Bisuri Tal experience: arrive at the lake camp by late afternoon, set up camp, and wake at 5am for the dawn reflection window. Between 5:30am and 7:00am on a clear morning, Kedarnath Peak reflects in the lake with a mirror-still surface before the morning breeze begins. This is a photograph that does not exist yet on the internet — and you could be the first to create it.
