Season & Weather Guide
July to September. Ladakh is a rain-shadow region, making it the perfect high-altitude trekking destination during the Indian monsoon.
Seasonal Verdict
Because Ladakh is a high-altitude cold desert located in the rain-shadow of the Himalayas, it avoids the Indian monsoon. Therefore, the peak trekking window is the summer. Winter is lethally cold, and the higher camps are inaccessible.
