Season & Weather Guide
Ideal trail conditions occur during the peak months of October, June. This window offers maximum peak clarity, comfortable daytime walking temperatures, and exceptionally stable weather patterns, bypassing monsoonal landslide zones.
May–June (pre-monsoon, snow-covered upper glacier) and September–October (post-monsoon, crystal clarity) are the two primary windows. October is the preferred month for maximum visibility and dry trail conditions. Avoid July–August monsoon completely.

Important Tips
The Pindari-Kafni crossover has two distinct peak moment windows: standing at Pindari Zero Point (12,300 ft) in afternoon light watching the glacier flow from Nanda Khat, and standing at Kafni base camp (13,900 ft) at dawn with Nanda Kot's south face catching first light above the glacier bowl. The 9-day circuit delivers both. Neither out-and-back route delivers both. This is the only route in the Bageshwar glacier system that crosses the inter-valley col and unlocks both views in a single circuit.
