Best Time for Nubra Valley Trek — Month-by-Month Guide

July to September. The perfect summer escape, as Ladakh's rain-shadow geography shields it from the monsoon rains affecting the rest of India.

Seasonal Verdict

When should you go?

The trekking window is restricted to the brief Ladakhi summer. The high pass of Lasermo La is blocked by impenetrable snow for most of the year. Because Ladakh is a high-altitude desert, it is an ideal trekking destination during the Indian monsoon months when other Himalayan regions are flooded.
