Seasonal Verdict

When should you go?

A remote, elite glacier trek deep in the Spiti rain-shadow. Due to its extreme geography, August is the only reliable month for full glacier access. Early summer offers lower-valley access, while winter seals the region entirely.

Editor's Notes

Important Advisory

Do not compromise on August for Khamengar. The July glacier is unpredictable with fresh melt instability. The September window is typically 2-3 weeks wide before fresh snow starts appearing at 16,000 ft.
