Drive Kathgodam to Munsiyari
A staggeringly long but beautiful drive through Almora and Thal. Stop at the massive 400ft Birthi Falls right on the highway before crossing Kalamuni pass to descend into Munsiyari.

Trek Balati Bend to Bhujani (Khaliya KMVN Camp)
Drive 8km back up the road to Balati bend. The trek is a continuous, moderate climb through thick oak and pine forests. You emerge onto a lower meadow where the KMVN rest house and eco-camps are situated. Incredible sunset views over Panchachuli from here.

Trek Bhujani to Khaliya Top & Descend to Munsiyari
Wake up early and hike the final 2.5 km (1,000 ft ascent) up the open bugyal to hit Khaliya Top. The 360-degree panorama of the Greater Himalayas is immense. After enjoying the summit, descend rapidly all the way down to the road head and drive to Munsiyari to celebrate.
