The Bagini Glacier Trek is a demanding high-altitude expedition in the Garhwal Himalayas leading to the glacial basin beneath Changabang, Dunagiri, and Kalanka. Combining alpine meadows, moraines, and dramatic mountain scenery, it offers one of Uttarakhand's finest glacier trekking experiences.

How difficult is Bagini Glacier?
It is a moderate-hard trek due to the altitude (14,800 ft) and the boulder-crossing near the glacier snout.
Where does the trek begin?
The base is Jumma village, reachable via a scenic drive from Joshimath.
Can we see Mt. Dunagiri?
Yes, the trek starts from the base of Dunagiri and offers stunning close-ups of its vertical faces.
Is there any mobile network in Jumma?
Very sporadic signal at Jumma. Beyond the village, you are completely off the grid.
Where can we see the Changabang peak?
Changabang and Kalanka are clearly visible from the Bagini Base Camp and Upper Bagini campsites.
Is it better than Gaumukh Tapovan?
It is much less crowded and offers a raw, unfiltered glacier experience with massive granite wall views.
