Bagini Glacier trek takes you to the base camp of Changabang — one of the most technically challenging peaks in the world — at 14,800 ft in the Nanda Devi Sanctuary buffer zone. This 8-day moderate-hard trek from Jumma village passes through pristine old-growth forests, high-altitude meadows, and dramatic moraines. The glacier campsite offers a front-row view of the Changabang-Kalanka wall, widely considered one of the most stunning mountain faces on the planet.

It is a moderate-hard trek due to the altitude (14,800 ft) and the boulder-crossing near the glacier snout.
Where does the trek begin?
The base is Jumma village, reachable via a scenic drive from Joshimath.
Can we see Mt. Dunagiri?
Yes, the trek starts from the base of Dunagiri and offers stunning close-ups of its vertical faces.
Is there any mobile network in Jumma?
Very sporadic signal at Jumma. Beyond the village, you are completely off the grid.
Where can we see the Changabang peak?
Changabang and Kalanka are clearly visible from the Bagini Base Camp and Upper Bagini campsites.
