Tip
Morning abhishek at 4 AM is the best darshan experience at Kedarnath — the sanctum is near-empty, the energy is different from the daytime rush. Pre-book via BKTC. This is worth waking up for.
Caution
Kedarnath sees 10,000–30,000 pilgrims per day at peak. Crowd surge incidents have occurred at the temple entrance. Do not rush the queue. Pre-booked VIP darshan has a separate entry gate — it is worth it here specifically.
Key point

Guardian shrine of the Kedarnath valley — short uphill walk from the main temple. Most pilgrims miss it.
