Season & Weather Guide
July and August are perfect. Zanskar is a high-altitude desert, making this a prime monsoon-escape trek.
Seasonal Verdict
The trek is strictly a summer endeavor. Because Zanskar and Lahaul sit in the rain shadow of the Great Himalayas, they do not receive heavy monsoon rains, making July and August the perfect months to trek.
