The trail to Deoriatal and Tungnath is well-maintained and mostly paved with stone steps. The long walk through Rohini Bugyal involves narrow forest trails with some roots. The final climb to Chandrashila Top is steep on rocky terrain.

Fast descent. 4km from summit back to Chopta. Use poles as the stone steps are hard on the knees.

Not spending enough time at Deoriatal — the lake is most beautiful at 6 AM for reflections.
Underestimating the peak wind — Chandrashila is a lone peak, wind-chill can be brutal.
Assuming the stone steps make it 'easy' — it's still a 4,300ft vertical push in one day.
Not carrying basic meds — the drive to Sari involves many hairpins, motion sickness is common.
