Drive deep into the Churah valley. The trek starts near the ancient Devi Kothi temples. The trail plunges instantly into incredibly thick cedar and oak forests, climbing violently out of the river basin.

Trek High Meadow to Basecamp (Alyas)

A shorter day prioritizing acclimatization. The grass ends entirely, replaced by harsh, jagged rocks and glacial scree. Establish camp right at the foot of the massive headwall leading to Cheni Pass.

Basecamp (Alyas)Pangi Base

Summit Cheni Pass (14,500 ft) and Descend to Pangi Base

Start at dawn. The push is short vertically but incredibly technical over loose scree. At 14,500 ft, you crest the Pir Panjal. The view changes instantly from lush foothills to the barren, canyon-like walls of Pangi. The descent on the northern face is steep, requiring gaiters to plunge-step through hard snow.
