Drive Kathgodam to Almora / Binsar Sanctuary Gate

A beautiful, winding drive up through the Kumaon hills, bypassing the congestion of Nainital. Upon reaching the sanctuary gate, pay the fee and drive the 10km dirt track up to the heart of the forest.

Wake up before dawn. Walk the 2km paved forest trail from the KMVN upwards to the Zero Point observation tower. Watch the sunrise illuminate over 300km of the Greater Himalayas. Walk back, eat breakfast, and drive down to Kathgodam.
