Essential Planning Guide
Vibe & Scenery
Hidden high above Pahalgam, Tulian Lake is one of Kashmir's most striking alpine lakes. Its deep blue waters sit within a steep glacial basin enclosed by towering cliffs and lingering snowfields, creating one of the most dramatic mountain settings in the region.
Beginning in the forests around Pahalgam, the trail passes through the meadows of Baisaran before climbing steadily across alpine slopes and rocky terrain towards the lake. Although relatively short, the final ascent is physically demanding and requires good fitness.
Tulian Lake is an excellent choice for trekkers looking for a rewarding alpine objective without committing to a week-long expedition.
