Reo Purgyil at 22,407 ft is the highest peak in Himachal Pradesh and the highest mountain in the entire Kinnaur district. The base camp trek at 16,000 ft approaches this giant through the remote Ropa Valley above Khab — the confluence of Spiti and Sutlej rivers. This 5-day very difficult trek passes through barren high-altitude desert, crossing glacial streams and ancient moraine fields in a landscape that feels genuinely Tibetan in character. The base camp view of Reo Purgyil's immense north face is among the most dramatic in the Indian Himalayas.
