Today's Objective
Start at 3:00 AM. Climb a near-vertical wall of rock and ice to reach Indrahar Pass. From the pass, turn right and navigate a highly exposed, razor-sharp ridge to the summit of Moon Peak (15,250 ft). After witnessing the Pir Panjal range, begin the punishing descent all the way back to Laka Got.
Key Landmarks
Staying At
The route ascends to an exposed ridge line. The path breaches the mountain barrier crossing the watershed.
Field Notes
Use Trekking Poles
Trekking poles are highly recommended to save your knees on the descent.

A long, continuous descent retracing your steps past Triund and back into the forests of McLeod Ganj, concluding the expedition.
Key Landmarks
The high alpine meadows narrow into forested river terraces as tree line vegetation reappears in the lower mountain river corridor.
Instead of returning to McLeod Ganj, descend the other side of Indrahar Pass into the Chamba valley (Chhata Cave to Kuarsi village).
