Garur Peak (5,990m) is a classic peak located in the Alaknanda valley near the sacred town of Badrinath. Positioned in the outer ring of the Nilkantha-Badrinath massif, it is a semi-technical summit ideal for climbers seeking to transition from high-altitude trekking to technical mountaineering. The climb involves crossing boulder zones, navigating moraines, and scaling a final 40-45 degree snow-ice slope to the summit ridge. It offers stunning vistas of Nilkantha and the Nar-Narayan peaks.
