The Experience

Introduction

The Bashleo Pass Trek crosses a historic foot route between the Tirthan Valley and the Sarahan region of Himachal Pradesh. Beginning near Bathad, the trail climbs through dense forests of deodar, pine, and oak before reaching the broad grassy saddle of Bashleo Pass at approximately 10,750 ft.

Along the way, trekkers pass seasonal grazing meadows and forest camps while enjoying views across the Kullu, Shimla, and Kinnaur mountain ranges. The combination of moderate altitude and well-defined trails makes the trek accessible to a wide range of hikers.

Suitable for beginners and intermediate trekkers, Bashleo Pass offers an excellent introduction to Himachal's forested mountain landscapes and historic Himalayan trade routes.
